After days of rain, our determined Screwball Rally drivers arrived in Germany today to glorious sunshine. A long straight run up the A1 Autobahn has delivered them safely to a campsite just outside Hamburg. After testing the windscreen wipers almost constantly for two days it was time to find out that not having air conditioning was a smart move.

The campsite for the evening is in lowlands on the banks of the famous river Elbe. The many locals camped here have been both amused and bemused by the arrival of so many curious cars and their equally curious drivers. Tomorrow the rally crosses a border again towards Denmark!
